Tony Stark/Iron Man

Eccentric genius, billionaire, philanthropist Tony Stark is the armored super-hero known as Iron Man. Decompressing from his heroic, near-self-sacrificial action as iron Man that saved New York City from annihilation, Tony finds himself unable to sleep and plagued by worry and trepidation. When his world is destroyed and those closest to him threatened, Tony must find a way to save them and in the process find him again.

Pepper Potts
Pepper has progressed from Tony Stark's assistant to the head of Stark Industries, pausing along the way to fall in love with Tony as well. Bright, loyal and honest, Pepper understands Tony Stark more than anyone and sometimes that can be both a worrisome and dangerous thing.

Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes / Iron Patriot
Rhodey is the Liaison between Stark Industries and the U.S. Air Force. He is one of Tony Stark's few trusted friends and most of the time has the patience to deal with the impulsive genius. Rhodey has a new suit of War Machine armor in a red, silver, and blue patriotic design. When suited up, Rhodey becomes Iron Patriot.

The Mandarin
Mandarin is the sinister head of the terrorist organization known as The Ten Rings, from which all the actors of extreme terrorism plaguing the world appear to emanate. Although he is reclusive, Mandarin wields great power and makes his presence known by striking fear in the government and the populace through his brazen plans of attack.

World War Z (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy) Review

Sinopsis

A former UN investigator is thrust into the middle of trying to stop what could be the end of the world. Worldwide destruction sends him around the globe seeking clues about what they are fighting and what it will take to defeat it, as he tries to save the lives of billions of strangers, as well as his own beloved family.Few monsters lend themselves better to allegory than the zombie. In the years since George Romero first set the shambling mold with Night of the Living Dead, filmmakers have been using the undead as handy substitutes for concepts as varied as mall-walking consumers, punk rockers, soccer hooligans, and every political movement imaginable. (All this, plus brain chomping.) World War Z, the mega-scale adaptation of Max Brooks's richly detailed faux-historical novel, presents a zombie apocalypse on a ginormous level never seen before on film. Somehow, however, the sheer size of the scenario, coupled with a distinct lack of visceral explicitness, ends up blunting much of the metaphoric impact. While the globe-hopping action certainly doesn't want for spectacle, viewers may find themselves wishing there was something more to, you know, chew on. Director Marc Forster and his team of screenwriters (including J. Michael Straczynski and Lost's Damon Lindelof) have kept the basic gist of the source material, in which an unexplained outbreak results in a rapidly growing army of the undead. Unlike the novel's sprawling collection of unrelated narrators, however, the film streamlines the plot, following a retired United Nations investigator (Brad Pitt) who must leave his family behind in order to seek out the origins of the outbreak. While the introduction of a central character does help connect some of Brooks's cooler ideas, it also has the curious effect of narrowing the global scale of the crisis. By the time of the third act, in which Pitt finds himself under siege in a confined space, the once epic scope has decelerated into something virtually indistinguishable from any other zombie movie. Even if it's not a genre changer, though, World War Z still has plenty to distinguish itself, including a number of well-orchestrated set pieces--this is a movie that will never be shown on airplanes--and the performances, with Pitt's gradually eroding calm strengthened by a crew of supporting actors (including Mireille Enos, James Badge Dale, and a fantastically loony David Morse) who manage to make a large impression in limited time. Most importantly, it's got those tremendous early scenes of zombie apocalypse, which display a level of frenetic chaos that's somehow both over-the-top and eerily plausible. When the fleet-footed ghouls start dogpiling en masse, even the most level-headed viewer may find themselves checking the locks and heading for the basement. --Andrew Wright

Sinopsis

The magic of M-G-M’s wonderfully colorful and unique fantasy has melted hearts for more than seven decades with its indelible melodies and transcendent themes of family, home and the courage to pursue dreams. To celebrate the beloved movie’s 75th anniversary, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has brought The Wizard of Oz into the present and beyond with a brand new kind of magic: a stunning 3D Blu-ray™.

Adapted from L. Frank Baum’s timeless children’s tale about a Kansas girl’s journey over the rainbow, The Wizard of Oz starred Judy Garland as Dorothy, Ray Bolger as the Scarecrow; Bert Lahr as the Cowardly Lion; Jack Haley as the Tin Woodman and Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch.

The Wizard of Oz received five Academy Award® nominations , including Best Picture (Outstanding Production), and captured two Oscars® -- Best Song (“Over the Rainbow”) and Best Original Score -- plus a special award for Outstanding Juvenile Performance by Ms. Garland. When it was released during Hollywood's golden year of 1939, The Wizard of Oz didn't start out as the perennial classic it has since become. The film did respectable business, but it wasn't until its debut on television that this family favorite saw its popularity soar. And while Oz's TV broadcasts are now controlled by media mogul Ted Turner (who owns the rights), the advent of home video has made this lively musical a mainstay in the staple diet of great American films. Young Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland), her dog, Toto, and her three companions on the yellow brick road to Oz--the Tin Man (Jack Haley), the Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr), and the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger)--have become pop-culture icons and central figures in the legacy of fantasy for children. As the Wicked Witch who covets Dorothy's enchanted ruby slippers, Margaret Hamilton has had the singular honor of scaring the wits out of children for more than six decades. The film's still as fresh, frightening, and funny as it was when first released. It may take some liberal detours from the original story by L. Frank Baum, but it's loyal to the Baum legacy while charting its own course as a spectacular film. Shot in glorious Technicolor, befitting its dynamic production design (Munchkinland alone is a psychedelic explosion of color and decor), The Wizard of Oz may not appeal to every taste as the years go by, but it's required viewing for kids of all ages. --Jeff Shannon

Sinopsis

Mike Wazowski

Mike Wazowski's lifelong dream is to become a Scarer at Monsters, Inc. and he's sure he knows just how to do it. Ever since he was a young monster, Mike's had his eye on Monsters University, home of the world's top Scare Program. Now a freshman and hopeful Scare student, he's well versed in the rich history, theory, and technique required to reach his goal, and the little green one-eyed monster has more confidence, enthusiasm, determination and heart than all of his classmates combined. But unexpected roadblocks derail Mike's plans and he's forced to team up with a group of misfit monsters and an unlikely ally to give it the old college try and pull off the biggest coup in the University's history.

James P Sullivan
When it comes to Scaring, Sulley's a natural, his abundant size, fierce roar and family legacy of a long line of high-achieving Scarers make him a shoo-in for the esteemed Scare Program at Monsters University. But from the moment the overly confident monster steps his big furry feet on campus, it's clear he'd rather crack jokes than books and he learns the hard way that his unfettered talent and family ties can only get him so far. With his ego bruised and future in jeopardy, a stubborn Sulley must put his pride aside, team up with an odd bunch of misfit monsters and actually work if he wants to live up to his true Scaring potential.

Randy Boggs
Monsters University freshman Randy Boggs has big aspirations for college life. The peculiar lizard-like monster with his host of gangly arms and legs plans to major in Scaring and lead an active social life filled with fun, friends and fraternity parties. If only he could get his embarrassing disappearing habit under control, he'd be good to go, because how is he ever going to be a great Scarer if nobody can see him?

Don Carlton
Faced with the realities of the economic downturn, Midwestern sales monster Don Carlton finds himself going back to school to learn new skills and pursue a dream career in Scaring. One of Monsters University's "mature" students and a founding member of Oozma Kappa fraternity, Don brings his honest hardworking spirit to their endeavors ensuring that his fellow brothers keep their various heads on straight and their array of eyes on the task at hands.

Art
The ultimate free spirit, Art is a mysterious monster with a questionable background. By far the strangest member of the Oozma Kappas, Art bowls over the competition, sometimes literally with his unique dexterity and wild card ways. Nothing is scarier than the unpredictable, especially when it comes to this furry ball of bad.

Scott “Squishy” Squibbles
Scott Squibbles gives new meaning to the term "undeclared." A sophomore whose dream of becoming a Scarer was squashed in his first year at Monsters University,"Squishy" is a bit of a wide-eyed wanderer, small, sweet, naïve and quiet who not surprisingly still lives with his doting mother. But with a little help from his Oozma Kappa brothers, Squishy begins to realize he's more than just that shy monster in the corner.

Terri and Terry Perry
When it comes to Terri and Terry, it's hard not to ask, "Are two heads really better than one?" These bickering brothers have little in common. Terri with an "I" is a real romantic who's quick to spot the silver lining in any situation, while older brother Terry with a "y" sports a more cynical outlook on life. If they can stop squabbling long enough to work with their Oozma Kappa brothers – they might be able to put their heads together literally and find their place in Monsters University Scare Program once and for all.

Claire Wheeler
Claire Wheeler is the Greek Council president at Monsters University and this year she is one of the chosen emcees for the school's annual Scare Games. Don't be fooled by Claire's brooding exterior and monotone drawl, banal in appearance, on the inside she is a galvanizing force of school spirit who diligently warns the Scare Game participants of the dangers they will face.

Brock Pearson
This preppy-looking fraternity monster has been chosen to assist the Greek Council president in emceeing the school's annual Scare Games. Jock-like and what some might refer to as a "meathead," Brock is a loud, enthusiastic emcee who relishes the danger of the Scare Games' challenges.

Dean Hardscrabble
To Dean Hardscrabble, there are scary monsters and their are all other monsters. It's no surprise she feels this way, she is after all a legendary Scarer an dDean of the School of Scaring at Monsters University. Aspiring Scare students must be up for the challenge to impress her, though she is convinced that her assessment of who is truly scary and who is not is never wrong.

Professor Knight
Professor Knight teaches Scaring 101, the introductory course to Scaring at Monsters University. With hundreds of new Scare students each year, Professor Knight must weed out the weak from the talented and identify who shows the most potential to be real Scarers. Only a few have what it takes to pass the formidable final exam and move on to the elite Scaring Program.

Sinopsis

In this visually spectacular blend of astonishing illusions and exhilarating action from director Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans), four talented magicians mesmerize an international audience with a series of bold and original heists, all the while pursuing a hidden agenda that has the FBI and Interpol scrambling to anticipate their next move.Cinematic sleight of hand and digital prestidigitation drive Now You See Me, a slick popcorn movie about four magicians coming together to pull off a heist and maybe right a wrong at the same time. Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco play the Four Horsemen, who each have their individual skills (Harrelson is a master hypnotist, for example) but have combined to put on an amazing show in Vegas--a show that culminates in robbing a French bank. The authorities don't know how they did it, but an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) and an Interpol agent (Mélanie Laurent, Inglourious Basterds) start tracking the Four Horsemen as they prepare a second performance in New Orleans. A professional skeptic (Morgan Freeman), however, suggests that these performances are only the preamble to a much bigger trick, and that maybe the Four Horsemen themselves are misdirection. The excellent cast (which also includes Michael Caine) and the unrelenting pace give Now You See Me the illusion of sense and coherence, and the movie can be fun if you surrender to it. Don't think too hard about the illusions themselves; the real fun of magic is not being able to figure out how it's done, whereas we know exactly how the "magic" in Now You See Me works: editing and CGI special effects. Even the few tricks that are supposedly explained fall apart with a moment's thought--they wouldn't actually work. The most compelling element of the movie is the developing romance between Ruffalo and Laurent, two charming actors who know how to let emotion simmer under the surface. That's a different--and much more enticing--kind of magic. --Bret Fetzer

Sinopsis

While attending a party at James Franco's house, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and many other celebrities are faced with the apocalypse. Not many rising young stars would gleefully portray themselves as shallow, petty, and petulant for the sake of comedy, but that's what James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and others do in This Is the End. Rogen persuades his visiting friend Jay Baruchel (How to Train Your Dragon) to go to a party at Franco's fabulous new house. The party, a festival of narcissism and self-indulgence, allows a host of celebrities to poke fun at themselves (including Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Emma Watson, Paul Rudd, Michael Cera, and more). But just when Baruchel wants to flee, Armageddon begins, trapping Baruchel, Rogen, Franco, Hill, Craig Robinson (The Office), and Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down) in Franco's house with little food and water while L.A. burns around them--and then the pettiness really begins. This Is the End is, as one might expect and perhaps even hope, crass and trashy. Jokes about masturbation, drugs, and cannibalism abound, but often the funniest material comes from the subtleties of social awkwardness and status anxiety. The last third of the movie explodes into special effects spectacle, ultimately capped with a musical number. It's like a multi-million-dollar home movie, with both the virtues (exuberance and wild creative flights) and weaknesses (a bit slapdash and in-jokey) of such things. But despite all the mean-spiritedness on display, there's an overall spirit of good cheer that carries the movie along. --Bret Fetzer

Tom Jeffrey's classic Australian film, THE ODD ANGRY SHOT, is set in the late 1960s during the brutal war Australians shared with the United States: the struggle for Vietnam. Harry (Graham Kennedy), a hard-edged Special Air Service Corporal, meets a new company of soldiers during his second tour in Vietnam. There's the naïve Bill (John Jarratt), the easy-going Bung (John Hargreaves), the blunt Rogers (Bryan Brown), the pragmatic Dawson (Graeme Blundell), and the youthful and innocent Scott (Ian Gilmour). Because of their training as professional soldiers from Australia's toughest Army unit, these men believe they can deal with any situation. They pass the time playing practical jokes, getting into drunken brawls and humoring themselves to keep their minds off the war. But, when the first odd angry shot rings out, and an enemy mortar barrage hits their camp causing many casualties, the men realize their protective shield of humor is no defense at all against the harsh realities of armed combat.

Sinopsis

Join Peter Jackson on the Journey to the World’s Greatest Adventure Five-disc Extended Edition includes 13 minutes of revealing never-before-seen film footage and nearly 9 hours of fascinating in-depth looks at the production.A fellow named Bilbo Baggins lives in the Shire--but perhaps you've made his acquaintance already? If you're familiar with J.R.R. Tolkien's epic Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the films that Peter Jackson wrought from them, of course you have. And here is Bilbo, played again by Ian Holm, shuffling about his hobbit hole and recalling a grand adventure from his past, when he left the Shire with a wizard and some dwarves and found a certain ring and a very peculiar creature named Gollum. This is The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which Jackson and his LOTR crew have expanded on from Tolkien's 1937 novel. And boy, have they expanded: this 169-minute escapade is merely the first of three separate movies made from that one book, and it gets the young Bilbo (played by Martin Freeman) only a little ways into his grand trek. Many loud, garish battles and chases fill the time, along with some (it pains one to say it) fairly tedious adolescent-level humor. Jackson tends to dally with scenes that might have been more effective in half the time, and the bumptious dwarves are some of the least charming characters in the Tolkieniad. Thank goodness, there's Gollum (played, as before, by the digitally transformed Andy Serkis), who shares a riddle-trading scene with Bilbo that sends genuine shivers up the spine. Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf, and a few other LOTR folk make cameos, but the more An Unexpected Journey goes on, the less you sense the magic afoot. Despite the fun moments, this feels like a prologue for the actual movie, which is still to come. (Originally released on many screens in 3-D, the film was also showcased in some theaters in a pioneering format that increased the clarity of the image--or made it look like a soap opera, depending on your receptiveness to the flat, frictionless technology.) --Robert Horton

Sinopsis

Four frustrated college girlfriends (Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine) plot to fund their best spring break ever by burglarizing a fast-food shack. But that's only the beginning... during a night of partying, the girls get arrested. Hungover a nd clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge and get bailed out unexpectedly by Alien (James Franco), an infamous local dealer who takes them on the wildest spring-break trip in history.Word on Spring Breakers has been loud enough for everyone to know that this is not a typical teen romp about college kids blowing off steam and getting their party on along the golden shores of Florida's Gulf Coast. It is that for sure, but writer-director Harmony Korine's vision of the masses of toned hardbodies' drink- and drug-fueled days and day-glo nights goes far deeper than playful exploitation. His intention is to peel away the trappings of a genre to uncover realms much more disturbing. Though wildly uneven, Spring Breakers is always entertaining, from the early gaudy scenes of girls and guys gone wild, to the unsettling apparitions of a hallucinatory thug life that come later. The camera gawks at all of this with slightly detached dread, whether it's brightly lit bikinis bouncing on the beach in slow motion or the automatic weapons, heavy-duty drugs, and unsavory characters who inhabit the place when all the spring breakers are gone. Much has been made of the fact that Spring Breakers is a breakout from good-girl status for stars Selena Gomez (as Faith) and Vanessa Hudgens (as Candy). Along with Brit (Ashley Benson) and Cotty (Rachel Korine, the director's wife), this quartet is itching to play bad as they first get the money to travel to Florida by pulling a heist, then letting loose once they get there with the thousands of other mostly undressed youths (we almost never see the four leads in anything other than op-art bikinis). Being a little too bad, they end up in a jail cell, but they find themselves bailed out by a loony local named Alien. By all movie logic, this should go down as one of James Franco's defining performances. He is truly sensational. The movie soars when he enters the story as a cornrowed, be-grilled, heavily tattooed gangsta whose ear-to-ear smile and poetic rap patter enrapture the girls into the kind of danger they've only been playing at so far. Alien proves a little too creepy for one, who soon escapes home; another heads back north after an incident of gunplay brings the reality too close. But Candy and Brit stick around as Alien's soulmates, all sharing his guns, his bed, his money, and his inflated sense of self as one. A nominal plot pits Alien against a rival drug kingpin, and the movie devolves into farce in the final reel, but not before Korine has a chance to elevate the hypnotic imagery and obscenely elegiac dialogue into something much higher than the sum of its parts. For some, Spring Breakers may seem a transgressive nightmare of debauchery in its depiction of a social reality that Hollywood would dare not touch. But it's also a fever dream of color, humor, horror, wit, and craziness that has something to say. If for no other reason, see Spring Breakers simply for the image of James Franco losing himself with a glee even one such as the great and powerful Oz could never imagine. --Ted Fry
